SeaConn LLC is currently developing a high-speed passenger ferry system called Flying Boats to serve New York area travelers. SeaConn will run all day making it a convenient and fun alternative to crowded trains and highways. Beyond serving the morning and evening rush hour commuters, Flying Boats will also serve anyone traveling for off-hour business, shopping, evening events, airport transfers and weekend getaways. The ferry system will serve both shores of Long Island, linking these prominent communities to Manhattan and LaGuardia airport. Project financing is now complete and shipbuilding contracts will be awarded shortly. Beginning in the first quarter of 2008, Flying Boats will take you to and from Manhattan in record time and comfort with weekend service to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.
